Gotcha
No bulk transcript export — at all. tl;dv is designed around video review and highlights, not data portability. There is no "export all" button and no ZIP download.
Export guide
tl;dv is built for video-first workflows, not transcript export. There is no bulk download button. Here is what actually works, starting with the simplest option.
Step 1
Go to tl;dv and open the individual recording you want to export. The transcript appears alongside the video.
Step 2
Select the full transcript text on the page and copy it. Paste into a text file or Google Doc. The Chrome extension "tl;dv Transcript Grabber" makes the copying slightly easier by formatting the output cleanly.
Step 3
If you need the video file, download the .mp4 from the recording page. Video downloads are available on the Pro plan.
Step 4
There is no way around this. Each transcript must be copied individually. Save each one as a separate file — one per call — with a clear filename (e.g. 2026-03-15-client-name.txt).
If you have many recordings, the API is the only scalable option. tl;dv offers an API for programmatic access to your transcripts and meeting data. This requires technical setup but is the right path if you need to export dozens or hundreds of transcripts.
tl;dv is built for video-first workflows, not transcript export. If you need 100+ transcripts extracted, the manual copy/paste approach is not practical. We can help — we have built automation for tl;dv exports for clients. Book a call and we will handle the extraction for you.

We have done this for clients before. Send us access to your tl;dv workspace and we will extract every transcript, cleaned and organized, ready for analysis. No copy/paste required on your end.
Not natively. tl;dv has no built-in bulk transcript export. You can copy/paste transcripts one at a time from individual recording pages, or use the API for programmatic access if you have many recordings.
Plain text displayed on the recording page. There is no native download button for transcripts — you copy the text and paste it into a document. Video recordings can be downloaded as .mp4 files on the Pro plan.
API access depends on your tl;dv plan. Check tl;dv's API documentation for the latest details on which plans include API access and what endpoints are available.
